What an interesting year 2020 has brought us this year. First Snow storm in January 2020, Then the damn COVID- 19 mess in March 2020, Tropical storms earlier than ever this year that started in May 2020, then to an earthquake August 2020. We had 28 hurricanes this hurricane season in 2020 . Plus severe weather on Christmas Eve this year , an interesting year to remember!
January 2020:
The Great Blue Heron's first fish catch of 2020 at my neighborhood pond.
February 2020:
The Mallard Ducks were very busy at my neighborhood pond in February for mating season this year.
The only snow storm this year in 2020.
March 2020:
Brown Headed Nuthatches at Jordan Lake near their nesting area protecting their young.
April 2020:
Baby Chinese Prey Mantis born in my side yard of my house this year! Successful hatching this year!
First attempt of catching an Osprey catching a fish in my neighborhood pond for the first time because I was out of work for so long and enjoyed capturing these moments of the osprey catching fish at my neighborhood pond this year!
May 2020:
Pre Tropical Storm Arthur Sunset the day before the tropical storm hit the outer banks when I was there for a vacation.
At the Outerbanks of North Carolina during tropical Storm Artur hits!
June 2020:
Sunrise Conditions at Jordan Lake made this Great Blue Heron into a silohoute while I was taking this.

A five lined Skink hanging around at the Eno River on a log.

This is a snowberry clearwing which I photographed at Gold Park in Hillsbourgh with my mentor on an outing.

This is a great synopsis of 2020 with some amazing photographs. I've never seen snail eggs. My favorite is the heron with the water droplets slinging. gorgeous!!! Aunt Fern
