Spring Forward Ahead

Its Spring time and its also Daylight Savings time tonight as a write this. Very funny I know right. Which actually means we lose an hour of sleep tonight.

But the sun will be out longer now instead of earlier during sunset. Which means it will get dark at 8 pm instead of 7 pm.

I recently did a photo outing to the Duke Gardens.  We are now able to identify the unknown rose that we photographed in January at Bolin Creek  which is a Lenten Rose.










The Lenten Rose is part of the Buttercup family. The scientific name of this rose is Helllbrorus Orientals. This Lenten  Rose plant is very cool to photograph

The song birds have started migrating back to south from their long journey and also the pollinators are becoming more active as it becomes more like spring weather.


Its looking like spring is coming and so St. Patricks Day is this coming up Thursday.  Wear Green Everybody!!
The official Spring start date this year is March 20 in only 6 days from now! Wahoo!

 Hey everyone it’s Al with the very special edition the 500th post on my blog. This is a milestone that I have been trying to reach on my blog.  I am going to talk about the 500h post on my blog.let’s go back to 1999 on this day for the 500th post that happened in Oklahoma in Moore in 1999 with a devastating tornado.    On May 3,1999 , which has now been over 22 years ago.   aA massive E-F5 tornado with wind speeds over 300 mph hit Moore and Bridge Creek Oklahoma and this tornado touched down at 6:23 pm and this tornado stayed on the ground for 38 miles with tons of destruction and killing many people to be exact 38 people . When this tornado touched down on the ground another tornado started forming in the same storm system that had produced this massive tornado of E-F5 status but this tornado that touched down right after the first was rated as an E-F 0 tornado, that did minor damage compared to the massive one that stayed on the ground for 38 miles.   Wh...

 Hey Hey its Al with a new topic for this blog post which is about the New COVID strain that has finally been discovered in The United States. Everyone in the United States, has to double down NOW, due to a new threat of a new variant of COVID strain,  called B.1.1.7 which is deadly strain of the next COVID peaks,  that may spike the numbers of cases in the United States by March 2021. This new strain of COVID will spread more quickly from person to person. This new strain of COVID is more contagious from the other one which is called , COVID 19.
