Just a little snow

Hey hey it Al back with a snow pictures from earlier today which I used My iPhone XR for these photographs of the snow , since I did not use my camera for these shots. We were supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow accumulation in this area but we only ended up with a dusting of snow.  Some schools in the area of central North Carolina either did remote learning, delayed openings or closed for the day which one school system , did which was Chapel Hill Carrboro City schools. Even though, this was the only snow storm that Some snow stuck to the ground some did not stick to the ground due to the rain before that. In this shot, I did with the snow I used the snow as foreground element and used the remaining of the background to be blurred out to make an interesting photograph that came out really cool for this shot. I hope we might get another snow storm in February this year that might produce more snow and I can take even more pictures of it if is possible to happen this year in North C...

Winter Activity Part 1

Heres some more winter activity I was able to catch at my neighborhood pond today during the afternoon to the golden hour which is sunset conditions. This is a Cooper's Hawk. I heard the call of it and looked up and spotted it and took different several pictures of this Cooper Hawk.  The Coopers Hawks reside here in central  North Carolina in the Winter. They like broadleaf trees for nesting and they live in suburban habitat. This one was very mellow and was not spooked very easily at all. I was about 6 feet away from where it perched on the tree, which was very cool to be that close to a Cooper's Hawk in the wild. This is an Adult Female Mallard Duck that I also took pictures of both the Female and Male Ducks in my neighborhood pond during the golden hour which is Sunset conditions. This is a Purple Finch that I also took at my neighborhood pond today. I took the advantage today to get different birds at my pond today to do a post of Winter Activity Part 1 for the blog. This ...

This a White - Throated Sparrow, I photographed at the Eno River, and there so many sparrows in the area where we spotted this sparrow and there was plenty of chances to get photographs of birds at this point in this area. White- Throated Sparrows are common in this area of North Carolina. They like being in woodland edges during the winter months and they can be in flocks of the same type of birds. For this photograph, I decided to do a different angle on it. So this was an interesting shot I did. It has been an attempt for me to compete against myself , and be more better at photographs than where was in 2014 way back. I decided to a new photograph, That I did not do in the past outings at Eno River.  I decided to use the Fungus on this tree to make a different style for this interesting photograph.
