Sunrise Saturday # 1

I have decided once again to start a new theme on Saturdays called " Sunrise Saturday".. I think doing different themes on the weekends on my blog are really cool. The sunrise you see here was taken at Topsail Beach during my vacation in March 2017. I was up early at dawn to take photos of pre dawn to sunrise and got amazing results of the pre dawn to dawn and then to the  sunrise. Sunrise Photography is very cool to do , you have to be up really early to do this !

Macro Monday # 1

Hello everyone,  happy Monday to my blog readers.. I have decided to create another theme called Macro Mondays !!! I recently did this macro work on a photo outing while I had my vacation week from camp. I decided to go to the Eno River for photo shot location. I decided to do some macro work while I was there photographing wildflowers and some insects that you might find here in North Carolina. The temperature that morning was very nice but half way through the photo shot it started getting hot and humid and I was sweating a lot and I got to go in the Eno River and do some pictures in the water too. Have an awesome Monday!

Sunset Sunday #1

I decided to start a new theme on Sundays called Sunset Sundays.. This a very cool theme to do on Sunday besides someone I know, Al D. Who does his Sunday slides.. But I am doing a different theme instead for my blog. I recently did this sunset shot on Jordan Lake during my vacation week off from camp.  The weather that day was a bit rainy and way in the distant, my mentor and I saw a thunderstorm produce lightning during this sunset shot which was very cool to see at sunset. I had to underexpose to keep the colors golden when the colors becomes that golden color after the sunsets.

oh my, fishing spiders

This morning I had the opportunity to got o the Eno River with my photography mentor.   We we are able to get photographs of three fishing spiders that are common in this area of the Eno River, they also live around this area in North Carolina.  One of the fishing spiders, I photographed was eating a meal which it had previously caught. Indeed it was a dragonfly.  I have always wanted to catch the moment of a fishing spider eating its prey and now I have done it for the first time ever while it was eating a dragonfly.  There will be another post tonight on the sunset at Jordan Lake, So stay tuned into my blog.

Mountain Trip Followup

I recently did a mountain trip to Lake Lure, North Carolina for a few days. I got to relax, hike, do my own photography while I was there particularly nature photography and Kayaking on Lake Lure. In the lake near the rental condo we rented for three days, I went down in the afternoon to see what was happening at the lake along with the conditions in the area and wildlife behavior and habitats. I was able to get photos of the dragonflies, some macro insects and geese and ducks on the lake. I was noticing some behaviors that the geese were doing on the lake while I was photographing them. The next day, I did some kayaking on Lake Lure. I am well at doing kayaking since I have done it many times in the past. I have done white water rafting in Arizona, the outer banks of North Carolina and now kayaking in the mountains of North Carolina. The next evening I went back to lake Lure to see the sunset and photograph it over the mountains that surrounded Lake Lure. The moun
